The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued an updated list of goods from the European Union (EU) subject to Section 301 tariffs as part of the Large Civil Aircraft dispute. In October 2019, the World Trade Organization ruled in favor of the U.S. and Boeing in the dispute against the EU and Airbus, allowing for these Section 301 tariffs against the EU. The revisions to the list of products both add and remove products, which are described below. Products that have been removed from the list will no longer be subject to the Section 301 EU tariffs, while products that have been added will be subject. These modifications take effect on September 1, 2020.

The USTR removed the following items from the list:

  • Cheeses & subst. for cheese (incl. mixt.), nesoi, w/o cows milk, w/butterfat over 0.5 percent by wt, not subject to GN15 (subheading 0406.90.99, Products of Greece)
  • Sweet biscuits (subheading 1905.31.00, Products of UK)

  • Sweet biscuits (subheading 1905.31.00, Products of Germany)
  • Lingonberry and raspberry jams (subheading 2007.99.05, Products of France or Germany)
